Yes, after an induction. If you take up a Membership, you can meet with a Health Mentor who will tailor a programme to your goals and show you how to perform each exercise.
Do you have changing rooms?
Yes, you will need to bring along your own toiletries and towel.
Do I have to be a member to use the gym?
No, we have drop in rates at £6 per person and other non-member offers. You will need to undergo an induction.
Once I sign up for a monthly membership does the payment come out of my account of the same day I join or at the start of the month?
The first payment will be done on a pro-rata basis, calculated on how far through the month it is when you join. This will be followed by 3 or 12 full payments thereafter depending on which contract you have signed up for.
Can anyone join?
Yes, as long as you are 16 years of age and have no medical conditions that would prohibit you from exercises.
If I am not sure about how to do an exercise in the gym or if my technique is correct, can I ask the gym staff for guidance?
Yes, absolutely, and we encourage this.
Does the gym have music or should I bring my own?
We have music constantly playing in the gym, but feel free to bring your own music with headphones.
When are classes on?
We have a full week’s schedule available for you to look at here.
How can I book on to a class?
You can book classes in person at Reception; by telephone, 01887 822 693; by email, firstname.lastname@example.org; or you can request access to our online booking system.
What do the classes costs?
If you are a member, then all classes are included in the cost of your membership. Alternatively, you can pay the Drop In rates for classes.
Are there minimum numbers for the classes to run?
Yes, these are typically 2-3 people. Ask the gym staff for further details.
What happens if I need to cancel my place in a class?
Please let us know as soon as possible which will potentially allow another member who is on the waiting list to take your place.
I’ve just finished a class and I want to stay for a workout, do I have to pay to stay and use the gym?
No. If you are not a member and you’ve paid for a Drop In Pass you are free to stay and use the gym afterwards. If you would like you to stay for a second class then we ask you to pay for this separately however it may work out better for you to consider a Membership or a multi visit pass if you are planning to use the gym more frequently. Just ask our friendly staff for more information when you are in the gym next.
